When Is The Best Time To Tweet?

Published by thunderjack at 9:44 pm under Twitter Services Edit This

I’ve been doing some reading about the subject of the best time to tweet.

There’s all kinds of opinions.

Some people say you should figure out when your followers are awake and then tweet.  If most of your following is in California, wait until later in the day.  If your followers are in Europe or Australia, wait for them to wake up.

But still other people said that to counter-act the above issues, they tweet the same thing more than once a day.  One guy says he sends the same single tweet 4 times a day and has had no complaints.  Another person chimed in on his blog and said tweeting the same this twice would be the max you’d want to do.

Either one sounds pretty good to me.  Really, why not?  I kind of like the idea of sometimes sending out the same thing twice a day.  I’ve only done it a couple times.  Normally, I try to set up future-tweets via www.tweetlater.com and schedule them for just before lunch, around 11:30am…and then hope I get re-tweeted throughout the day. But just to be safe, I also send out multiple tweets during the day via ping.fm when I’m at a computer or via TwitterBerry when I’m out.

Another expert said that after extensive tests, they found 4pm to be the best time to tweet.  Interesting, huh?

I’m going to test this out.  You should too.
